Fuel Card

Depending on the service package your employer chooses, Business Lease will provide you with a fuel card with a PIN code, which can be used for the purpose of non-cash purchase of fuel. The fuel card can be used in an extensive network of petrol stations, including CCS in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, CCS-UTA and SHELL throughout Europe.

This allows Business Lease to send its clients detailed regular reports on the consumption of individual types of fuel and consumption of individual cars. The actual fuel costs are settled with the client at the end of each month.

The fuel costs are calculated according to data on fuel consumption specified in the car registration papers, average prices of fuel and corrections determined based on the long-term experience of Business Lease with car operation. The amount stated in the calculation is intended as guidance only to give the client a general idea of the monthly costs per car. The client does not pay this amount.

What to do if your fuel card doesn’t function?
If a fuel card ceases to function, the lessee needs to contact Business Lease in order to arrange its replacement. If the problem is due to a failure of the card, some providers allow the so-called “card re-chipping” which can be performed at most authorised sales points. However, this can only be performed if the task is prepared in advance by the provider and the provider will only prepare this intervention based on a request raised by the card owner – i.e. Business Lease. If a card cannot be repaired in this manner, the lessee will receive a new card as soon as possible.

What to do if you lose your fuel card?
If a fuel card or any other documents related to the car are lost, Business Lease must be contacted immediately to prevent any misuse of these documents. The system operator blocks the card reported as lost. This blocking must be confirmed or cancelled in writing/by fax within 24 hours. Once a card is confirmed as blocked, Business Lease arranges the issuance of a new fuel card.
